Spent a good part of his life deciphering some inscription on an ancient stone so he doesn't really have a lot of interesting anecdotes to tell at the bar. He appears to have had quite the harsh childhood and is having trouble forgetting about it (at least in one of the movies (not this one)). Professorman Johnson was his mentor.
